Oxfordshire Art weeks May 2021
Judy Harris asks; How to take part in Oxfordshire’s ArtWeeks without inviting anyone into one’s home? By hanging quilts in all the windows and covered doorways facing the pavement – solution! It does make the house a bit dark, but there are six quilts on display, all made post Covid lockdowns, and the last window has a display of FiddleFingersQuilts. I am part of a little cluster of houses built on the site of the Victorian workhouse, The Workhouse Estate, and just over twenty of us have made displays with the theme Under One Sky. My two quilts are based on maps of the site, a bird’s eye view, one more abstract and colourful than the other.
